Planting Trees at School Sites
Franklin students help plant a tree

In the spirit of Arbor Day, local community member Paul Forrest set out to plant a tree at each elementary school site. (These photos are from Franklin Elementary on October 11.)

“While Arbor Day is officially on the calendar in spring (April 27, 2018), the best time for planting trees is actually during fall,”
explained Forrest to the students.  Forrest, who provided the trees, was accompanied by
Diane Sommerville, local Tree Advisory committee member.
